FISH (Faith In Serving Humanity) Dental clinic is looking to hire a PART TIME (25-30 hours a week) dental assistant. Must be available on FRIDAYS. We are in search of a dedicated, hard-working assistant to be a part of our Christian-based team in Monroe, Georgia. We provide free dental services ( ONLY fillings, extractions, and dentures) to our low-income residents here in Walton County. We are looking for an applicant who is comfortable working with different volunteer dentists, is self-motivating and can work independently, and is punctual and reliable. We do not have a dentist every day, but we are constantly screening patients on our waiting list and keeping patients out of the emergency room. Please do NOT contact the clinic. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures (fillings, extractions, and occasionally crowns and endo) - Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures - Take x-rays (we use a Nomad and Pan Machine-training can be provided if you haven't used the equipment before) - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Taking impressions - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation (We use Dentrix-training can be provided) -Answering phones -Maintaining the clinic
