LONE STAR SMILES is a new, family-oriented dental practice opening in the small, growing community of Sachse — and we’re looking for a warm, committed Dental Hygienist who wants to help build a practice that will feel like home for years to come. As one of our earliest team members, you’ll play a key role in shaping our patient experience, creating our hygiene program, and helping the community trust us with their long-term oral health. This position will initially be part-time and will transition to full-time as our patient base expands. We’re looking for someone excited to grow with us, become a permanent part of our team, and serve as the heart of our preventive care. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR A hygienist who is: -Compassionate, detail-oriented, and dedicated to patient-centered care -Excited about helping a start-up practice grow -Passionate about education and prevention -Comfortable using diagnostic and visual tools to help patients understand their oral health -A strong communicator who enjoys being part of a collaborative team -New graduates and experienced hygienists are both encouraged to apply! YOUR ROLE You’ll work closely with the doctor and team to provide exceptional care, with responsibilities including: -Performing gentle, thorough cleanings, periodontal therapy, and preventive care -Taking digital radiographs and completing periodontal charting -Using diagnostic and visual tools such as DIAGNOdent, Velscope, intraoral cameras, and more to support diagnosis and enhance patient education -Educating patients in a warm, approachable way -Supporting a team-based approach to treatment planning and case presentation -Maintaining sterilization and infection control standards -Helping develop and refine hygiene systems as the practice grows -Contributing to a positive, people-first culture QUALIFICATION -Current Texas Dental Hygiene License and CPR certification -Nitrous Oxide Monitoring certification is a plus, but not required -Laser certification or experience encouraged, but not required -Administration of Local Infiltration Anesthesia Certification preferred, but not required -Strong communication and interpersonal skills -Friendly, reliable, and passionate about building patient relationships -Experience is great, but we welcome motivated new grads with excellent clinical skills and a desire to grow WHAT WE OFFER -Part-time schedule to start, with a planned transition to full-time as patient volume increases -Competitive pay -PTO offered -Opportunities for performance-based bonuses and end-of-year bonuses -A culture focused on work-life balance and people over profits -A voice in building a practice where both patients and team members feel truly cared for -A supportive team that values your ideas, input, and growth If you’re a caring, motivated hygienist looking to become a foundational part of a growing family practice — and you’re excited about helping shape something from the ground up — we’d love to meet you!
