We are seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality preventive and therapeutic oral healthcare. This role includes performing clinical hygiene procedures, patient education, and administering local anesthesia in accordance with state regulations. Key Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling, and root planing Administer local anesthesia Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) Conduct periodontal assessments and charting Apply preventive materials such as fluoride and sealants Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care Review medical and dental histories and update patient records Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment planning Maintain infection control standards and comply with OSHA and HIPAA regulations Sterilize instruments and maintain operatory cleanliness Accurately document clinical findings and treatment provided Qualifications Current Dental Hygienist license in Florida Certification to administer local anesthesia Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program Current CPR/BLS certification Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Skills and Attributes Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude Work Environment & Schedule Clinical dental office setting PART TIME
