Now Hiring: Part-Time Dental Insurance Coordinator (2 Days/Week) M.I. Dental Designs – San Antonio, TX M.I. Dental Designs is a high-end cosmetic and comprehensive dental practice seeking an experienced Part-Time Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our team 2 days per week. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing dental insurance processes from start to finish. This is a critical position in our office, and we are looking for someone who can take ownership of insurance workflows and help ensure timely and accurate reimbursement while supporting a positive patient experience. Schedule: Part-time: 2 days per week (days can be discussed) Responsibilities: Verify eligibility and detailed benefits for major dental procedures (crowns, implants, prosthodontics) Submit and track insurance claims (electronic and paper when needed) Manage and follow up on outstanding and aging claims Obtain and track pre-authorizations Handle claim denials and submit appeals with appropriate documentation Post EOBs and reconcile patient accounts Communicate insurance details clearly with front desk and treatment coordinator Maintain accurate and organized insurance records Qualifications: 3+ years of dental insurance coordination experience required Strong knowledge of dental PPO plans, coding, and claim processes Experience with restorative and implant cases preferred Comfortable communicating with insurance carriers and advocating for claims Organized, dependable, and able to work independently Experience with cloud-based PMS preferred (Oryx experience a plus, but not required) What We Offer: Competitive hourly pay based on experience Professional, supportive, and positive work environment Opportunity for long-term growth within the practice If you are an experienced insurance coordinator looking for a flexible, part-time position in a quality-focused dental practice, we would love to hear from you.
