Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) Full-Time or Part-Time McElroy Smiles by Design | Encinitas, California The highest-rated dental practice in North County is growing and we're looking for an exceptional RDH to grow with us. Here's what that looks like day to day: Competitive compensation: $60–$65+/hr DOE, with monthly hygiene production bonuses Modern technology: CBCT/3D imaging, digital radiography, intraoral scanners, soft tissue laser, Dentrix Dedicated hygiene time: no assembly-line dentistry; We are a Patient Centric office and the patient always comes first. Your responsibilities include comprehensive periodontal assessments and charting, scaling and root planing, prophylaxis, sealants, and fluoride treatments. You'll take and interpret digital radiographs and 3D scans, identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, and periodontitis, and collaborate with doctors on treatment planning for perio and restorative cases. Patient education is central; you'll coach patients of all ages on home care, nutrition, and the oral-systemic health connection. You'll also maintain accurate clinical documentation in Dentrix and track hygiene department metrics that help us continuously improve. What We're Looking For: Active California RDH license in good standing (required) Laser certification (recommended) Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred, new grads with strong clinical rotations considered Proficiency with Dentrix is a plus; digital radiography and intraoral scanner experience preferred Exceptional communication skills and a genuine passion for patient relationships Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to lifelong learning Positive energy, team-first attitude, and zero tolerance for drama, we protect our culture fiercely About Our Practice McElroy Smiles by Design has been a cornerstone of Encinitas dental care for over 20 years.
